Cemetery Services

 

Norland Cemetery has several burial choices and plot areas for both conventional and cremation burials, including: 

  • conventional burials with a monument of stone or granite
  • conventional burials with a marker or tablet that is flush with the ground
  • cremation burials with a marker or tablet that is flush with the ground. Cremation burials are also allowed in either of the conventional sections.​

Burial lot prices are as follows
(effective January 1, 2023): 

  • Conventional lot: $1200 per grave space
  • Cremation lot:  $600 per grave space

 

Burial fees vary based on the type and time of the burial. During regular hours, Monday through Friday from 8AM to 3PM, burial fees are as follows:

  • Conventional burial fees: $1650
  • Cremation burial fees and regular burial fees for age 0-2 years: $1050

 

​For burials on Saturday or after 3PM Monday through Friday, burial fees are as follows: 

  • Conventional burial fees: $2200
    Cremation burial fees and regular burial fees for age 0-2 years: $1400

After you select a burial lot, you will receive a deed with information including the price paid,  the lot and section number, and marker or monument specifications.

Perpetual care is included with all lot purchases, as one of the services offered by Chambersburg Cemetery Company. The priority of our Board of Directors is to make sure the cemetery is well-maintained. The cemetery has a full-time Superintendent who is in the office or on the grounds of the cemetery each weekday.
